Griffin Nu Form with EasyDock for iPhone 3G Black

Like the name says, EasyDock makes it easier to dock, charge and sync your iPhone. There’s no need to remove your iPhone or iPod from the case. Just slide the lower section of the case off to charge and sync, and then slide it back on when you’re done.

5 Stars Best case for iphone 3g
Had it for a month. Having no ploblems, best case for iphone 3g. Fits in my leather pouch with the csae on.
4 Stars Pretty good case!
Not a bad acase and I’m glad to see that the price has come down a bit since I first bought it at the store. I used this case for a few months but over time it got quite scratched up. It held up well but I decided to get another case. I didn’t notice any scratches on my phone from this case as others suggest but this Turtlz case I bought has some felt inside to prevent any scratches and it is surprisingly less bulky.

3 Stars Not perfect.
This case is really nice, I like the form fitting quality and the clear screen protector is great. The bad thing about this case is how deceptively fragile it is; I thought it was really sturdy after sliding the iphone in there but less than a month later there was a crack along one of the corners. I tried repairing it with superglue but to no avail. I think they made the case a little too form fitting or perhaps it needs to be a made little thicker or just with a stronger material. I have actually owned 2 of these and both have had the exact same problems; what starts as a crack eventually leads to the corner or part of it breaking off. I now own a different case entirely, but I still wish this one had worked out. I would still shop Griffin cases again and hope that the next gen iphone case they make is a little more resilient. Another negative on this case is that it does indeed scratch the back of your iphone if you take it out of the case and put it back in multiple times because of how snugly it fits in there.
3 Stars Started out good ended bad.
Bought this case back on Sept. 1st received it on Sept. 6th. Looked at a lot of cases before buying. This case was everything that I was looking for. Protected the iPhone 3G very well, never had an issue with scratching or scuffing. Came with a nice screen protector, some don’t. I particularly liked the hard plastic with the softer silicon/plastic on the back side. Held in the hand well giving it a little grip but not too much that it wouldn’t slide in and out of the pocket. It’s not the bulkiest case out there but it’s not the slimmest either.
With that said, after having it for 4 months it has developed multiple cracks on the top right (looking at the back) between the volume/silence and the jack port. I know what your thinking he dropped it, duh. However, I did not drop this phone what so ever. The only thing I can think of is that it could have been damaged or exacerbated a defect when you remove the case to clean the iPhone. Which shouldn’t be the case, no pun intended. I baby all my electronics and this is very disappointing because up till now it has been a great case.
1 Star Not Very Durable
I’ve had this case for about 3 months, and while it fits my iPhone 3G very well and provides good protection, I cannot recommend it, as the case recently developed a crack in the upper left corner. It has never been dropped or treated roughly, so I have to blame this on poor quality. I will be purchasing a new case of another brand.

5 Stars Excellent
I absolutely recommend this phone system it is easy to use right out of the box 5 stars
4 Stars One of the best in its class, except for the speakers’ low volume
I’ve been using the Uniden DECT 6.0 Black Cordless Telephone System with Interference Free Digital Technology (DECT3080-3) system which comes with an extra handset for a total of three. I hope that my experience with product may help others decide whether this is the set worth buying or they should be looking elsewhere.
I see that some have experienced problems with dropped calls and ‘out of range’ issues. This is not my experience but my review is only based on the set I purchased (as ‘new’ from a third-party Amazon seller).
______________________________________________________
It is expandable to 6 handsets per base (that would be the answering machine) but each handset could, in fact, be registered to up to 4 different bases which would make everything extremely complicated if it was actually done.
I ended up with the Uniden DECT set after a sad experience with ‘brand X’ or, shall we call it ‘brand V’?
Their (more expensive) offering was so bad, I had no choice but to return it so, I’m using the Uniden now.
For efficiency sake, I will start with the negatives so that anyone who cares about these (lack of) features can quickly decide that this set is not for you. Here they are, the negatives:
- The speaker volume is low. This probably has some advantages when it comes to battery life (see below) but anyone who must have a loud speaker should be warned that these phones’ speakers are anything BUT loud.
- The ring volume is also low. Seriously, anyone who has a hearing problem should NOT buy this set. I do not mind the low ring volume because too loud rings bother me but I am listing this as a negative because some could mind.
- The intercom can NOT use the speaker. It’s the earpiece only for the intercom.
The features that made me decide that this is the set for me include:
+ Long battery life. Possibly because of the low-volume, these phones seem to last forever on a charge. The manufacturer claims up to 10 hours of talk time. I’m not sure if that’s the case but, so far, I haven’t seen the ‘low battery’ warning yet and I am spending many hours, almost every day, on conference calls.
+ Good reception. With the base in the basement, I was able to use the phone, outside, some 30 feet away from the house which I can not do with my great Motorola 5.8 MHz sets.
+ Great design. These phones and the base are actually pretty in an unobtrusive, minimalistic way. They are a little bit on the small and light side but they can hold their own in a room full of gadgets.
+ Easy access to voice mail from the handsets. The handset keys actually have the remote-like symbols for play/stop/fast-forward, etc. so, if anyone does not feel like reading the menu options from the phone’s display, you can simply use it as if you were using a remote. Very nice.
+ Belt clip - my wife loves this more than I do because I tend to be at my desk when I talk on the phone.
+ Headset jacks on all handsets - another feature that my wife loves.
+ 50 page, VERY thorough manual that was written by an English-speaker. This may sound like a trivial thing but I was actually impressed by how easy to use and how comprehensive the manual was. Every feature appears to be covered.
+ Easy to navigate, simple menus
+ Privacy mode - once on a call, you can block all other registered sets to listen on your conversation.
Other features, which I expect in any phone in this class and are well implemented include:
= Caller ID
= Call waiting
= 3-way calling
= 70 phonebook entries per set with the ability to copy individual entries or the entire phonebook from one set to another (I tried it and it was very easy)
= The ability to personalize each phonebook entry to show name (can keep the caller ID name if you don’t want to complicate your life), wallpaper, ring style and display style (can’t see myself doing that a lot)
= 30 caller ID number per set, in addition to the phonebook entries
= 5 ‘last dialed’ numbers availalble to redial
= 10 ring tones (in fact 5 rings and 5 melodic tones)
= 10 display styles
= 5 wallpaper styles
= English/Spanish menus
= Independent volume controls for headset, speaker and ringer.
= The ability to set the time/date on all sets and base from one handset.
= The ability to control the answering machine, including turning it off from any handset.
= Intercom.
= Paging a lost handset from the base.
I am overall happy with these phones but I must take off one star, mostly for the ‘low volume’ issue. Other than that, they come as close to ‘perfect’ as anything.

Just in case anyone cares to know what DECT is about.
DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) is a relatively new (2005) standard for cordless phones, initially developed in Europe.
Some of the advantages of DECT 6.0 include:
- easier to implement multiple handsets sharing one phone jack connection via one common base (have it on a 5.8 GHz set as well)
- easier to implement intercom features between individual handsets (have it on a 5.8 GHz set as well)
- extended range, up to 300 feet
- low power consumption and, therefore, extended battery life
- better performance in areas experiencing heavy radio traffic
- not affected by Wi-Fi or Bluetooh signals (neither are the 5.8 MHz)
4 Stars A Phone worth Buying
This phone almost has it all, for my needs. I required the headphone jack, caller id, mute button and also enjoy the handset speaker phone, address book for 70 names/numbers, and the ability to copy the address book to the other handsets. The phones are very clear, lightweight, stylish, slim and work well with my Plantronics MX505 headset.
The biggest negative for me is that I can’t assign numbered speedials, so instead of hitting [mem][#] to dial I must select [phonebook] and scroll [v][^] to the number. Something I can live with, given all the goodness this phone offers, but it is inconvenient when trying to locate the calling card numbers and pins stored in my phone.
I’d buy it again… and may extend my current set (handles up to six phones). I don’t use the answering machine, so can’t comment on it, but do know that you can retrieve messages from any phone.
Uniden DECT 6.0 Black Cordless Telephone System with Interference Free Digital Technology (DECT3080-3)
5 Stars Awesome phone system
We have owned these phones for about a month now and I absolutely love them! Compared to our old Vtech system, these much better quality in numerous ways. The phones come with a NiMH battery that allows more than 10 Hours talk time. I have had 1-2 hour conversations with no visible drain on the battery whatsoever. With our old phones, I would continuously have to trade out handsets because my battery would die after an hour or so. Days of buying very expensive rechargeable batteries at Radio Shack are over!
These phones also have a headset jack and a very slim sleek plastic clip that is a must have for me, as I like to walk around the house with both hands free.
This phone has an ultra thin design, I am not bothered by the placement of buttons or the overall layout. The digital answering machine has the best reception of any phone I’ve ever owned. I love being able to check messages from any handset. When you are away, you can also check messages remotely.
Some other very cool features are:
The capability to assign ring tones and color schemes for each individual number in your phone book. There are also 4 wallpaper and numerous other display options. The phone book allows you to store up to 70 numbers and has shared capability with other handsets (this was another pet peeve with our Vtech phones!). In addition, there is also an intercom and a transfer call feature, which comes in extremely handy in my four story house with WAY too many stairs.
Some owners have complained that the ring isn’t loud enough, I have no problem with the ring volume. I do experience an occasional dropped call, although, it is difficult to determine if this is caused by our VoIP or the phone itself. I also do not notice any significant decrease in volume when I have a headset on. Others voiced concerns regarding the row of keys at the bottom, however, they are not bothersome to me. The one and only downfall is they are not wall mountable, which fortunately was not an issue for us.
I recall reading in the manual for this phone that you can connect multiple bases to each other. For each base, you can connect up to 6 handsets. That would make these great for small businesses as well.
I purchased these phones at Meijer, they were marked down by $30. I purchased DECT3080-3, which consists of the answering machine and three headsets for $89. I found additional handsets on eBay for $25 with free shipping.
I can’t say enough great things about these phones, I highly recommend them!
5 Stars Best phones I’ve ever had.
These phones are well-made, comfortable to hold, and LOADED with all the features you could ask for.
I bought a set for our house in the south, and they are so nice, I bought a set for our second house.
By the way, if you use magicJack, these phones will work GREAT with it.

Philips HN060 37 Noise Canceling Earbuds

Philips Noise cancel earbuds active noise reduction cuts out the background noise that spoils the listening pleasure and delivers pure sound on the move.
User Ratings and Reviews
4 Stars Philips noise-cancelling earbuds
They do the job but don’t have as much power as Sony’s do. Then again, Sony’s cost twice as much.
Big plus - they come with airplane adapter.
4 Stars Some nice headphones for the price
Well lets be honest, these are earbud headphones with active noise canceling and they do it pretty well. But if you want real noise canceling go get a good pair that cover you ears. Phillips has a nice pair also sold on Amazon for a little more than these.
Pros:
-silicone earbuds fit into your ears and stay
-neck strap keeps the weight of the battery pack/control box from pulling headphones out of your ears
-the cord is made up of an almost cloth, seems impossible to kink it, i love this option
cons:
-can lose the silicone headphone ends-but check ebay you can get an open box set of these for 12 bucks
-kind of bulky feeling if you try to work out with them
As a student who takes my laptop with me all the time these produce great quality and are light and nice.
1 Star Mile Deep in Your Ear
I suppose that the sound and noise-canceling quality of these are okay. However, they are so deep that they were painful to put into my ear for any extended period of time. I might as well have shoved a Q-tip down to my ear drum. I would avoid these if comfort is a concern when choosing ear bud style noise-canceling headphones.
2 Stars Buy Something Else
I purchased these about 2 years ago for a trip. I forgot my Sennheiser noise canceling headphones at work, and stopped at a local retailer on the way to the airport and grabbed these. Since then they have been on several trips with them because I keep forgetting to take my good headphones and these are almost always left in my travel bag.
PROS
1) The ear bugs are really similar in nature to ear plugs you would use around heavy equipment, etc. The ear plugs alone block out more sound that traditional ear buds.
CONS
1) The electronic noise canceling is minimally effective. They are a complete joke compared to my Sennheisers, but then again they are about 1/3 the price.
2) The ear buds squeeze into your ears like industrial hearing protection, and eventually get coated with ear wax. I actually clean my ears when I wash, so I cannot imagine this is some sort of personal hygiene issue I have. The build up of ear wax is both disgusting and hampers the usefulness of the product as the sound canals get filled with the stuff.
3) These take a single AAA battery which will last a trip. However, the battery wears down whether they are turned on or not. Between trips (even a couple of weeks) the battery goes dead.
There are a number of similarly priced, similarly featured products listed on Amazon with better reviews. Buy one of them
1 Star ineffective noise cancelling
Forget the hype - the main reason they work is by plugging your ears, NOT by canceling. Funny, but all my NON-canceling plug-style buds work better, and sound better, too.
If you check how canceling phones are SUPPOSED to work, you’ll find that they focus on a narrow set of low frequencies. There’s a good chance that YOUR type of bothersome noise won’t be covered. But this model won’t give you much canceling, even in their target range.
What to do if you can’t afford the kind that really work? Simple, actually. Forget high-tech, and get good-sounding earphones that also BLOCK the noise from coming in. That time-tested method is guaranteed to work.
